ONE PLANET PICNIC

One Planet Picnic is a luxurious outdoor meal experience combined with a guided hike in beautiful natural and cultural landscapes. The menu uses ingredients Swedish farms and local food artisans exclusively, all carefully selected based on an integrated approach to good tastes, healthy diets and sustainability. Simply, it is a meal within the boundaries of our planet.

We will serve your food on charming porcelain dishes and you will eat with steel cutlery. No disposable material is used, and thus, no waste. Taste exciting drinks from the region’s fruit and berry farms. There will of course be coffee, tea, and sweet snacks after the meal.

More about the experience

The tour goes through a lush deciduous forest and open agricultural landscapes, with wonderful views of Lake Vättern and Visingsö island. There is also the opportunity to swim in Lake Vättern at the end of the hike.

It is an easy hike, between two and six kilometers long, and therefore suitable for most people. You will learn more about the landscape you are walking in, the history of the village and the region, the food and drinks that you are served, and the biosphere reserve being a model area for sustainable development from your guide.

information

Is there anything you can’t eat? Or allergic to? Please notify us beforehand when you make a booking.

When you book, you need to also state how many people want a traditional, vegetarian, and vegan menu respectively. The traditional menu usually contains both smoked wild boar, and roasted and smoked fish – all of course from local suppliers.

By vegetarian, we mean lacto-ovo-vegetarian, aka no meat or fish, but includes dairy products and eggs. When it comes to intolerance towards nut, gluten or lactose, we are happy to make special accommodations in advance. We want to be able to serve you to the best of our abilities, a meal that matches everyone’s needs.

We will also be grateful if you tell us you intend to bring your dog on the tour beforehand when you make a booking.
